After a long wait for the results, Democrat Tammy Baldwin won the Wisconsin Senatorial race with 52 percent of the vote, beating out Republican Tommy Thompson by 7 percentage points.

Republican Senator Scott Brown ran a very thorough campaign against Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren. Brown started off ahead in the polls in the early stages of the campaign season, but Warren gained significant ground on the incumbent during the last couple of months before Election Day.

Claire McCaskill won the controversial Missouri senate race against Senator Todd Akin. The race for the Missouri Senate seat pitted incumbent Democrat Claire McCaskill against the Republican Congressman. McCaskill currently holds 55 percent of the vote. Her opponent Republican Todd Akin currently has just 34 percent of the vote.
