The rise in gas prices under President Obama has been mentioned often in the past months and the debate has been focused on talking about the United States' energy independence.

LA JOLLA - With eleven days remaining before the presidential election, First Lady Michelle Obama visited San Diego this morning to raise last minute campaign funds for the President’s reelection bid. Obama was the guest of honor at a fundraising breakfast at the La Jolla home of Irwin and Joan Jacobs. The private event attracted around 200 people, including a number of local politicians and business leaders.

California's education system will be at the center of the November election as two propositions are addressing the issue of the school funding.

On the one hand you have proposition 30, supported by Governor Brown, will increase funding for schools through two key fundraising provisions: a raise of the state sales tax  as well as an increase of the income tax of the three highest income brackets.
