After successfully introducing the acronym BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India, China, or BRICS including South Africa) in 2001, Jim O'Neill, chairman of Goldman Sachs Asset Management, a company that manages global investment funds, is now introducing a new acronym called MIST (Mexico, Indonesia, South Korea, Turkey).

With the 2012 election coming to a close in less than a week, California voters are already anticipating the 2014 races. The current incumbent governor, Jerry Brown, has lost much of his footing with California voters and the greater Democratic party. Many political pundits and critics expect that Brown will not seek reelection in 2014. In his absence, a number of politicians have expressed tentative interest in running for California Governor in 2014, with a least five candidates already eying the position.

This 2012 election will be a tight race until the end as President Obama and Mitt Romney are neck to neck in many polls. The rest of the world has, however, already made its choice and President Obama overwhelmingly wins in every country except two, Israel and Pakistan.
