Emanuel Pleitez, a native of the inner city neighborhood of Los Angeles, El Sereno, and raised by a single mother, experienced life in one of the most underrepresented areas of the city. His story resonates with other Angelenos, especially those who come from similar communities. Emanuel’s inspiration and initiative of providing for the community and re-energizing Los Angeles come from the many hardships he knew growing up.

“You stay classy, San Diego....” was the infamous sign-off line by comic actor Will Ferrell in the movie Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. In real life Stay Classy is no joke - the six-year-old local company develops online fundraising products used by nonprofit organizations around the world.  The company also recently held the "San Diego Classy Awards" at the San Diego Civic Theatre.

Debates are structured to convey fairness, but the moderators are always Democrats. If the moderators were Republican, people would notice. Why are Democrat journalists presumed “neutral,” while Republican journalists are suspect of bias?

IVN will be hosting the first ever, online presidential debate on Thursday, October 18 at 4pm PST/ 7pm EDT. Unlike debates in the past, the candidates and moderators will simultaneously participate from different states.
