When Mayor Bob Filner spoke at a mayoral debate at Co-Merge back on October 16, he promised to create a business environment favorable to the promotion of startup businesses. In a stunning unanimous vote on Tuesday, the San Diego City Council supported a Constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United and limit the power of money in politics. The vote was 8-0 with one absent councilmember not voting.

The OCR is in charge of resolving disputes of discrimination within educational institutions. Its recent report spans from FY 2009 to FY 2012, covering four years of operation. While resolving more cases than in previous years, the OCR has also experienced a larger case load.
