Nowhere in our political system is power more institutionalized than in the pocketbooks of the political players. However, a little discussed, and even lesser questioned reality is that the sources from which the parties draw much of their funds are not their own, but from the taxpayers they are elected to represent.

Approximately one month separates residents from the deadline that makes Illinois concealed carry a reality. Failure to meet this deadline and enact some form of concealed carry legislation will leave no restrictions in place as the passions on both sides are heating up.

It's the beginning of May and graduation is nearly upon about 1.8 million college seniors. The times spent in college may be the glory days for some, but students of today are looking to the challenges of tomorrow. NowSourcing put together an infographic (see below) in anticipation of 2013 college graduates.

On my own time, I play at political punditry. But my day job—by far the most important part of my professional life—is to be a college administrator. Specifically, I am the Provost and Vice President of Academics at a small liberal-arts university in Wichita, Kansas.
