SAN DIEGO, CALIF - One of the most prominent arguments against ranked choice voting, outside its complexity, is that voters end up getting multiple votes, so it must violate the constitutional precedent of "one person, one vote."

The problem with this argument is a fundamental misunderstanding of ranked choice voting and how it works. Voters don't get multiple votes. They only get a single vote that counts toward the results.

Washington, D.C. - On Friday, former President George Herbert Walker Bush died at the age of 94, passing away just months after his wife Barbara.

Serving as the 41st President of the United States, Bush’s administration oversaw the end of the Cold War and Operation Desert Storm.

As Bush's casket proceeded up the west-facing steps outside the Capitol building cannon fire roared across Washington. Bush called these steps “Democracy’s front porch."

SAN DIEGO, CALIF. - It didn't take long for people to move past the 2018 midterms, even with accusations of election fraud stalling congressional results in North Carolina and a recount set to begin in Maine. Potential Democratic contenders to President Trump are already signaling their intentions to run in 2020, including former VP Joe Biden.

San Diego, Calif.- With 2020 in mind, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard made a trip to Exeter, New Hampshire and made comments that's sparking more speculation that the congresswoman from Hawaii is seriously mulling a run for the Democratic nomination.

Gabbard told a group of voters and reporters Sunday, “I’m seriously thinking of how I can best be of service to our country."

But Gabbard added she didn’t have any timetable for deciding on a White House run.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Republican Party of Tennessee has asked state lawmakers to change Tennessee's open primary to a closed one for the first time by requiring voters to register with one of the two parties in order to vote in either of their primaries.

The State Executive Committee of the Republican Party of Tennessee has taken up the issue of closing the Volunteer State's open primaries since as far back as 2010, but overturning this longstanding aspect of Tennessee politics has never found support with a majority of the state GOP's members until now.

Climate change and its causes are politically charged topics with liberals and conservatives often having diametrically opposed opinions. Independent voters and thinkers may not agree with either side as there is an abundance of data, some of which is conflicting.
