Tomorrow, community groups from all over San Diego will gather at Ingram Plaza in Liberty Station at 10 a.m. for a day of politics, food, and community outreach.

Showcasing San Diego's booming hospitality industry, the California Restaurant Association San Diego Chapter collaborated with local restaurants to organize this year's San Diego Restaurant Week.

In polls, it appears that California independents support ending the death penalty. Proposition 34, which aims to repeal the death penalty in California, will be on the November ballot.

In a new ad released Wednesday by the Libertarian Action Super PAC, former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura urged voters to call the Commission on Presidential Debates to say that they want to see Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson in the presidential debates:

Colorado Congressional District 5 covers El Paso County, site of Colorado Springs, the state’s second largest city, as well as five “rural” counties to the south and west. It is considered solidly Republican and is represented by Doug Lamborn, considered by some to be the most conservative member of Congress.

There is no doubt that Mitt Romney's campaign over the past few weeks has been disastrous.  Since the Democratic convention, weekly polls in key swing states have reflected that Romney has been steadily falling behind the president.
