Fran Pavley won the 27th State Senate District last night, with 52 percent of the vote. Todd Zink collected 47 percent of the vote, with all precincts reporting.
Richard Roth wins in SD 31 with 53 percent of the vote. His opponent Jeff Miller collected 46 percent of the vote with 100 percent of precincts reporting. The race opposed Republican Assembly Member Jeff Miller and Democrat Richard Roth in the newly redistricted 31st district.
California Democrats won a two-thirds majority in the State Senate as expected, but they also may appear to be about to win a supermajority in the State Assembly as well.
