It has been a long hot summer in the war of the paper ballots in Georgia. The Secretary of State Brian Kemp is set to face off with plaintiffs on September 12th in oral arguments over a lawsuit accusing his office of inadequately addressing weaknesses in Georgia's voting system.

FARGO, N.D. - Fargo, North Dakota may soon make history. City voters will decide in November whether or not it will become the first jurisdiction in the US to adopt Approval Voting -- an alternative voting method that allows voters to choose as many candidates on the ballot as they want.

A three-judge panel ruled Monday that North Carolina's congressional districts once again violated the US Constitution. This time, however, it was not on racial grounds -- but partisan.

The court further ruled that the maps may need to be redrawn ahead of the November elections, just a little over two months away.

San Diego, CA.- A new poll of likely voters in the 50th Congressional district shows Rep. Duncan Hunter maintaining his lead in the largely rural, Republican district.

Democrats at the DNC voted overwhelmingly on Saturday by voice vote to approve historic measures that will limit the role of its so-called "superdelegates" in future Democratic presidential nominating contests.

Unlike those electors who represent voters in their electoral college district and are bound to vote as their constituents have directed them to, these superdelegates are members of the Democratic National Committee, high-profile elected Democratic officials, and distinguished Democratic Party leaders.

Steve Baccus, who served as chairman of sitting GOP Kansas Governor Jeff Colyer's 2018 campaign, will not back the Republican nominee for governor this year. Instead, he has endorsed and signed on to co-chair independent Greg Orman's campaign -- citing his desire to put Kansas' interests first.

“I made it clear when I joined Governor Colyer’s campaign that I believed Kansas needed a leader who was committed to the state,” said Baccus.

While viewing a map of congressional districts, one may believe they are examining an unsolvable puzzle. The same type of puzzle where you dump thousands of tiny colored pieces out of a box onto your kitchen table and immediately realize you have a bad case of buyer’s remorse.

San Diego, CA.- From the Oval Office, President Trump announced a new trade deal with Mexico.

The deal was announced as a conference call with the President of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto.

The deal is expected to be called the United States-Mexico Trade Agreement.
